ISSA Wack Album… 21 Savage Album Review

By | Album, Music, Recap | No Comments

Where to begin… I am a fan of 21 Savage, probably more than most people, with that being said ‘ISSA’ is a wack album.  When the Savage Mode mixtape dropped in 2016 he gained an instant fan, the tape was street, gritty, and one of the rawest bodies of music to be released that year.  Fast forward through all the collabs since his move into the limelight, the day is finally here for his debut album entitled ‘ISSA’.

21 Savage must have a great sense of humor or the marketing team his label hired are geniuses because the title to his album ‘ISSA’ is a play off of a meme that took the internet by storm after an interview that 21 did where he refers to his tattoo on his forehead as “issa knife…”.  Peep the video clip below if you were living under a rock in 2016:

Now why would I go from being a 21 fanboy to (almost) completely disliking the shit out of his debut album?  Let me try to explain this as clearly and thoroughly as possible; you’re new to the rap game, you strike it lucky for your first major release and get Metro Boomin (one of the hottest producers in the game) to exclusively produce your entire project, you blow up because of this project… THEN you get a budget for a major release album, instead of sticking to the formula that got your big, you decide to switch up your flow AND your choice of beats, then to hype up the release of your album you hire Amber fucking Rose to pretend to be into you…  This is why I think its garbage.

‘ISSA’ features production from Metro Boomin, Zaytoven, Pierre Bourne, Southside, and DJ Mustard which would make you think that this is going to be the most fire album of 2017, wrong.  Even though the producers he picked are the ones you’d expect from him, the beats he chose from these producers are wack as shit.  Almost like 21 picked all the beats that he thought were ‘commercial’ enough to get him some mainstream radio play and left his trap shit behind on Savage Mode.

21 is not a lyricist, and I’m not blind to that fact, but when you hide his unintelligent raps behind some hard hitting beats like Metro did on ‘Savage Mode’ you get some pretty good music.  On the flip side when you chose radio friendly commercial style beats and put some 21 lyrics on them, you get an earful of crap.  And honestly the absolute worst part, there are ZERO features on this album, who told 21 that he could carry an entire album by himself?!  Fuck off.

Since this album dropped about the same time as the new Jay-Z ‘4:44’ album a lot of people have been fighting over which one is better (in respects to their own sounds), if you want my opinion don’t bother with either of them and instead go download the Dae Dae x London On Da Track mixtape ‘The DefAnition’ if you haven’t already, now THAT’S a great body of work.

Still wanna check out ‘ISSA’ for some fucking reason? Stream it below on Spotify:

JAY-Z’s New Album ‘4:44’

JAY-Z’s New Album ‘4:44’

In case you’re perusing this, at that point you most likely realize that JAY-Z has web-based social networking ablaze appropriate about at this point. In the wake of disclosing his new collection 4:44 on TIDAL at midnight Friday (June 30), JAY-Z has recovered the enchantment that established his heritage in hip-bounce. HustleTV

The ten-track LP finds the 47-year-old in the best shape of his life lyrically. Not only does he expound on his trials and tribulations that nearly demolished his marriage, but he deftly illustrates ways for people of color to thrive in the new age of an America led by President Trump. DJ Hustle

Take a look at the five things we’ve learned when we first listened to JAY-Z’s comeback album 4:44 below.

After watching the media skewer him for his past indiscretions stemming from his infidelity to his superstar wife, to his involvement in the stabbing of Lance “Un” Rivera in 1999, Hov seemingly leads the charge in beheading the man he dreads most: Himself. The skeletons that were collecting dust in Hov’s million dollar closet has finally been dragged out on records like “Kill Jay Z” and “Smile.” On “4:44,” you find a man who’s desperate to win back his best friend and wife, Beyonce. You hear the remorse and regret in his actions after he dipped in the pool of betrayal with Becky with the good hair. For once, Superman’s armor is no longer impenetrable. What’s even more amazing? Hov is finally okay with revealing the cracks and imperfections that once scarred him years ago. DJ Hustle

2. He’s On a Mission to Empower His People of Color

Known for bragging about his opulence, Hov places his financial success in the back seat on 4:44. With the current state of the country in sheer disarray, Hov attempts to sprinkle wisdom onto his listeners. Fortunately, on 4:44, he isn’t feverishly bragging about his new-found Audemars. For album 13, he tries to give everyone “a few million dollars worth of game for $9.99.” We can’t be mad at that at all.

3. He Still Knows His Pen Game Is Godly

Jay Z www.HustleTV.tv DJ Hustle

Jay Z www.HustleTV.tv DJ Hustle

Despite Hov spilling out his emotions on 4:44, he doesn’t allow his detractors to prey on his vulnerabilities and eat him alive. Though his last project came out in 2013 with Magna Carta Holy Grail, his wordplay and delivery remains immaculate. On “Family Feud,” he thrashes his haters with his mightiest weapon of them all — his pen. On “Bam,” he flexes his lyrical muscles again when he raps, “I be skipping leg day, I still run the world/I press the head of your team with one fingercurl.” HustleTV

Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez On Me

By | Featured, Interviews, Music, News | No Comments

Tupac Shakur biopic, All Eyez On Me

Tupac Shakur biopic, “All Eyez On Me”, at long last hits theaters June 16 following quite a while of planning and work by different people including veteran music maker LT Hutton, a maker of the film and a key main impetus behind the making of this film. The venture saw a few distinct executives travel every which way including John Singleton until veteran video chief and growing producer Benny Boom at long last took control to guarantee that the notorious existence of the late extraordinary hip-bounce and motion picture star was legitimately conveyed to the wide screen. What’s more, it’s a film that – whether you adore or not – should be seen, and not just beyond words hip-bounce fans. The short yet exciting and achieved life of Tupac Shakur is one for the records of history and this motion picture dives into all the symbol from each point.  DJ Hustle

The life of Tupac Shakur was one chock shifting, apparently restricting thoughts, perspectives, theories, and states of mind all put together within one persona. Thusly, the Gemini was diverse individuals at various circumstances.

Making a film about his whole life is more testing than your normal biopic and it’s anything but difficult to perceive any reason why individuals have had innovative contrasts en route in bringing “All Eyez On Me” to realization.  DJ Hustle

At one minute Tupac could be a progressive figure attempting to realize change in a world brimming with abuse and the following he could be in hooligan mode carrying on with the life of the roads. He was additionally an artist and an aficionado of Shakespeare (which is referenced all through the motion picture) and other scholarly rationalists which adjusted his reasoning as he was encompassed by the inconveniences of inward city life – really making him the rose that developed in the solid. Pac could likewise utilize his appeal to uplight the women in “Keep Your Head Up” and after that advance through the “tools” in “I Get Around.” Choosing which Tupac to acquire to light every scene more likely than not been a serious errand for the journalists and the executive. HustleTV

Everyone’s eyes are truly on newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr., given a role as the part of Tupac, and unexpectedly whose father Demetrius Sr. delivered Shakur’s “Hurl It Up” on the Makaveli LP. Demetrius Jr. is a dead-on Pac resemble the other alike confronting the trouble of depicting the late star as well as doing it in his first part as an on-screen character.  HustleTV

Before trying out for this part, Demetrius was working for Dish Network and laid off from his position with the organization. With the assistance of acting mentors and veterans like Hill Harper (given a role as the writer who interviews Pac all through the film) Shipp Jr. could shockingly catch the state of mind, feelings, and outward appearances of Shakur and truly makes an amazing showing with regards to for a performing artist with no related knowledge. LT Hutton and Benny Boom took a bet in throwing Shipp, however in viewing the film I feel that he remunerated their hazard with an exceptionally persuading depiction that will even satisfy Pac’s reliable fan-base. HustleTV

Ed Sheeran Gives Us His Dream Collaborator

Ed Sheeran, at only 26 years of age, exemplifies the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s Hal David Starlight Award maybe more than some other. Sheeran will get the respect, made in 2004 to perceive youthful musicians who have a huge effect in the music business with unique arrangements, at the corridor of popularity’s 48th acceptance and honors supper June 15 in New York.  Ed Sheeran Dream Collaborator HustleTV

Halfway through his current triumphant keep running at London’s O2 field, Sheeran talked with Billboard about the fragile adjust of which melodies to keep and which to provide for different craftsmen, the tune he wishes he’d composed, and his changing area schedule.

Your present hit “State of You” was initially proposed for Rihanna. How regularly do you compose a tune for another person you wish you’d kept for yourself?

Rita Ora has a melody turning out in half a month, I don’t comprehend what they titled it [they titled it “Your Song,” and it’s the top-drifting track in the U.K. this week], and that is a melody on the off chance that it hadn’t gone to her, I would’ve kept it and discharged it. “State of You” was begun initially for Little Mix and Rihanna. That was something I had as a main priority, in any case, I mean, similar to a few melodies were implied for me that wound up on other individuals’ ventures. A portion of the melodies on the One Direction collection unquestionably begun for me and wound up on the One Direction collection. DJ Hustle

Do you hear yourself in your melodies that are performed by different specialists?

The greatest number of times as I can if there’s a tune I have a composition credit on, I attempt to have some kind of component of me on it, similarly as a sort of mark. Regardless of the possibility that it’s me doing the support vocal or me playing the guitar, I simply like having that component on melodies I’ve been included in. Much like DJ Mustard would have “Mustard on the Beat” or Mike Will Made-It would have a Mike Will Made-It [beat] on a track, it’s simply having something that is out of sight. It’s subliminal, however it’s there. HustleTV

“The A Team,” your breakout single as an entertainer, has an effective story behind it.

It was composed in 2009, and at the time I was doing nearby gigs around London. One of my companions was running a destitute focus in East London to sustain the destitute over Christmas, and he stated, “Come and be the excitement there,” so I went and wound up talking with this young lady named Angel. I was 18 and hadn’t generally observed that a great part of the world. I experienced childhood in the wide open, and you don’t generally observe overwhelming, substantial medication compulsion in the farmland. You sort of simply observe drinking, so being in the city and seeing hard medication habit and the way it can influence somebody was a lovely educational thing. I was inhabiting an understudy house around a hour away shape London, and I got back and composing it and recording the demo on iMovie, on the grounds that I didn’t have whatever else to record it on. It came rapidly; it was a 20-minute melody. A few melodies can take a hour or two hours to compose or even an entire day, yet I do think the best tunes I’ve composed have been composed in 20 minutes.

These are few and far between, yet is there a melody that went poorly to end up noticeably a hit that is exceptional to you?

I expressed “I See Fire” for the Hobbit motion picture [The Hobbit: The Desolation on Smaug], and it never wound up motivating sent to radio since it turned out on a mark I wasn’t marked to, so nobody was permitted to push it to radio. I got the chance to compose and record and deliver everything on it, so it was the first occasion when I’d ever legitimately been a melody maker. I traveled to [New Zealand] and viewed the Hobbit film like outrageously fly slacked, and the CGI wasn’t in there yet, so it was very kind of harsh. And after that I went upstairs to this little studio and essentially composed this tune and did an unpleasant generation of it and got the chance to play everything else on it the following day and afterward flew home. It was all brisk, however it’s one of the melodies I’m most pleased with, on the grounds that I got the opportunity to do each and every component of it. HustleTV

DJ Khaled How Hard Work Pay’s Off

DJ Khaled is driving a golf truck down the twofold yellow line of a street in Beverly Hills, since movement is growled and he simply needs to get back home to chip away at his collection. Individuals in extravagance autos gaze as we pass them – however we’re voyaging close to 20 miles for every hour, we should appear to be zooming by. The unseasonably cool May air whips through Khaled’s facial hair as he hacks and protests about the chill. “How frequently do you fire this puppy up?” I shout. “Consistently,” he answers. “Go to Starbucks, get me a pumpkin bread. It’s off the chain.” I look at the dark colored paper sack in my lap, the cake warming my knees through my pants. The sack is secure. Whew. HustleTV

DJ Khaled www.HustleTV.tv DJ Hustle

DJ Khaled www.HustleTV.tv DJ Hustle

Khaled Mohamed Khaled, 41, is a man who acknowledges the little things. What’s more, – as we come back to his as of late gained $10 million manor in a gated 90210 group – I’m reminded that Khaled additionally acknowledges the enormous things. The carport is swarmed with Rolls-Royce Wraiths, one dark and one Arabian blue, in addition to the Escalade he marked for before that day (more on that later). There’s nothing average about the maker’s life or profession, the line between which he has been merrily obscuring since he turned into a Snapchat big name/conscious image in late 2015.

“That is me acting naturally,” says Khaled, alluding to his outsize online persona. “These craftsmen work with me since I make great music, additionally in light of the fact that I have great vitality, a great heart and I’m thankful – the extraordinary things that God is favoring me with, now the world can see them.”

His most terrific gift is his 7-month-old child Asahd (Arabic for “lion”), who has a little mechanized Rolls of his own and an official maker credit on Dad’s other strongly gotten all worked up about creation: his tenth collection, Grateful, out June 23 on Epic and Khaled’s own We the Best engraving. Khaled enlisted A-listers including Rihanna, Drake and Big Sean for Grateful, which has as of now been proclaimed by two Khaledian uber collabs: head-nodder “Sparkling” with Beyoncé and Jay Z (a Billboard Rhythmic outline No. 1) and bubbly rap-pop hybrid devour “I’m the One,” in which Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, Chance the Rapper and Quavo from Migos joyfully rhyme over what sounds like a dolphin murmuring dancehall. At the point when the single appeared at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Khaled celebrated on Instagram by putting on bathing suit and the most genuine face possible, at that point splashing five jugs of champagne over his yard. HustleTV

When I land at Khaled’s home, two or three hours before our nibble run, I hope to discover him canvassed in gold chains, flower prints and cocoa spread, getting his hair touched up by a group of beauticians as he prunes a greenery – you know, Snapchat stuff. Rather, he’s in dim sweat shorts and a white tee (both Polo) with dim socks and dark We the Best slides, his exclusive enhancement a little precious stone pendant that spells “Allah” in Arabian script. He’s in an easy chair, neck slouched and eyes bolted on his telephone. “Make yourself agreeable,” he says distractedly. He at that point stands up and vanishes for 20 minutes. I’m left with a languid Siamese feline named Coco, a plate of Ciroc vodkas and the dark velvet damask backdrop last proprietor Robbie Williams decided for the high-ceilinged antechamber.

Khaled leaves again only 25 minutes into our discussion – that time I catch words like “my legal counselor” and, with a disturbed edge, “that was ahead of schedule all the while.” His telephone buzzes constantly. “The average day for a Khaled is insane, correct? This collection I’m making is truly incomprehensible,” he says, in what sounds like a gloat until he includes, “clearing tests, managing different names. When you work with these huge craftsmen, it’s exceptionally sensitive. Legitimately it’s a bad dream.”

Yes, this is a similar person who in November distributed The Keys, a motivational book with part headings like “Don’t gripe,” “Life is the thing that you make it, so how about we make it” and “Have a considerable measure of pads,” which is critical so you can “rest your enormity.” Looking at his eyes I dare to say: He hasn’t been resting his significance. “I don’t rest a considerable measure,” test clearing Khaled concedes. Yet, Keys Khaled – strolling, as usual, an unswerving line between cartoonishly expanded and monkishly respectful – rapidly cuts in and includes, “On the off chance that I just get two to four hours of rest, I need to rest in the greatest bed ever with the most cushions on the planet and the most beautifullest view. I thought about the floor with one sheet and no pad. So I don’t underestimate nothing.”

One approach to consider Keys Khaled is as the living exemplification of test clearing Khaled’s triumph over youth affliction, as the original child of Palestinian workers who got away from an Israel-involved West Bank with $200 in their pockets. As a child in New Orleans, he helped his people peddle garments out of their van at an insect showcase. They incorporated the family exchange with a “domain” of clothing stores extending to Orlando, however that broke down after an IRS review, compelling high school Khaled to go up against different employments and hustles to keep them above water. A stellar hard working attitude, all things considered, is the one thing all cycles of Khaled undeniably share.

Picture John Cusack holding a blast box, however with a major bodied, hirsute man set up of Cusack, and a PA speaker rather than a blast box. This is, basically, how Khaled won the love of Justin Bieber and made “I’m the One.” He got the beat from – “Lemme see his name,” says Khaled, checking his telephone, “I need to ensure I take care of business” – Los Angeles maker Let Me See You (otherwise known as Nic Nac). He took out a few drums to highlight the section and all of a sudden acknowledged he had something deserving of pop’s snare man existing apart from everything else. He and Bieber were long-lasting buddies, however he had been holding up to request that he work together until his own vocation was on the level, “so I don’t play myself” (a “Noteworthy Key” to achievement). It was early January, his first day in his Beverly Hills manor, and he decided. Bieber welcomed him to his place. “I hung up, bounced in the Rolls and conveyed a PA just to ensure I introduced it right,” says Khaled.

They ended up tuning in to the track in Bieber’s truck, which, Khaled wonderingly says, “has stars in it, a leaning back hide situate, crap like a motion picture.” The Biebs began swaying his head. He loved it. Bieber said he’d play around with it. Before Khaled could leave, he made him play ground hockey. “I took the beating for the tune,” says Khaled. DJ Hustle

Khaled calls this kind of thing “going into their reality.” “His vitality is irresistible,” says Bieber. “He has an astonishing ear for hits, and when I heard the beat for this track, [Bieber’s collaborator] Poo Bear and I chose to bounce on and compose the snare. Khaled is a decent companion and a considerable measure of amusing to be around, and when he puts stock in something, he makes you accept.”

Rick Ross, a dear companion who has showed up on each Khaled collection, puts it thusly: “When you answer a call from DJ Khaled, paying little respect to what time it is, he’s shouting like it’s 8 a.m. He’s energized, he has this enormous thought that is substantially greater than the last – ‘You will have a hard time believing this one.’ The thing is, he truly feels that way. He truly adores his music that much.” HustleTV

With Bieber locally available (Khaled’s order: “I need a major, anthematic get out snare”) the names of the eventual MCs came to Khaled at the same time. Chance the Rapper was remaining in Malibu, eating grill with his family when the DJ appeared. Chance perceived Khaled’s vision and was sold. Migos were coming to Los Angeles in mid-January to tape Jimmy Kimmel Live!, so Khaled booked a post-indicate live with them at Westlake Studios (where Thriller was made, in light of the fact that the track’s tune helped him to remember “Human instinct”) and Quavo did his verse in five minutes. At that point Khaled called Lil Wayne. The two met, broadly, when Wayne was 12 and Khaled, 19, was a NOLA record shop assistant. “He’s never let me know “no,” ” says Khaled. Weezy thumped it out, and that was it – aside from Bieber wasn’t finished. “I’m calling each day like, ‘Do you require me to bring you tea? Is the AC great in the house?’ Then he sends it. I’m not going to mislead anybody. I shed tears.”

Faultfinders need Khaled to be J Dilla, in the lab throughout the day, smoked out, conjuring up beats. He does in any case make genuine music (he refers to “Sparkling” and Grateful’s cut with Rihanna), yet more critically, he plans melodies as-occasions, giving guidance, putting the perfect individuals in the room, calibrating results and managing the regulatory points of interest after everybody has gone home.

LaTrice Burnette, senior vp of promoting at Epic, calls Khaled a “one-stop shop.” Epic president Sylvia Rhone says Khaled gets the best out of his hotshot partners since he keeps up genuine companionships with them, and includes, “He is a great legitimate dealmaker on top of the majority of that – one of the most honed specialists that I have seen on the innovative side of music.”

I reveal to Khaled that there are individuals who think he doesn’t do anything, and he counters, “Anyone who’s befuddled what Khaled does is a blockhead.” He’s roosted on the edge of his padded seat, waving his arms, voice reverberating. “I deliver, I compose, I coordinate. I’m a big shot and one of the greatest DJs you’ve found in your life. I’ll work hard on a few turntables. You go to my Miami studio, you’ll be blinded by the sparkling of the [platinum and gold] plaques. What, you think my records get made mystically?”

No, I say, yet some expect that he gives others a chance to take every necessary step, at that point puts his name on it. “The distinction with me is this,” says Khaled, abruptly quiet. “I indicate love. I don’t conceal credit for anyone that works with me. A considerable measure of these makers don’t state [who helped them].”

Khaled became an adult in the late ’80s, break moving (as Special K), hoarding brilliant age vinyl and rehearsing his turntables in the carport. He sold HustleTV
