Between bursts of VHS-quality visual distortion, the singers swoon and cuddle while gazing at the night sky. At the climax, Del Rey skips across the sign’s letters and slides down the ending “D.” “Lust for Life,” the title-track from Del Rey’s upcoming fifth LP, marks the singers’ third studio collaboration, following two Weeknd tracks: 2015’s “Prisoner” and last year’s “Stargirl Interlude.” DJ Hustle

In a recent interview with with California radio station KROQ, Del Rey credited the Weeknd for helping launch her career. “He’s kind of the reason I was ever on the radio like six years ago,” she said. “He started posting all my videos on his Tumblr and social media … He’s been in touch with me ever since then. He’s always been really supportive. He had his own path, which led him to this place that’s crazy big. But we’ve just been friends for maybe the past six years.” HustleTV

Del Rey also revealed to KROQ the title of her upcoming Stevie Nicks collaboration, “Beautiful People, Beautiful Problems,” and detailed the song’s creation. The ” Love” singer explained that, after deciding that Lust for Lifeneeded an outside female presence, she and producer Rick Nowels approached the Fleetwood Mac vocalist.

“I kind of thought I had finished the record a couple times,” she said. “One of those times, I felt I wanted a woman on the record, and I was talking to [Nowels] about who would be great to get on the record. We both could only come up with Stevie. Funny enough, he went to high school with Stevie and wrote his first hit with her.”

Del Rey praised Nicks as “amazing,” noting that she stays up to date with contemporary music. “She’s kind of everything you hope she’s going to be,” the singer added. “She loved the track and added so much to it.” Listen to the full interview below: Follow Hustle on Twitter @DJHustle or Instagram DJHustle2407

Blade Runner (1982) Official Trailer – Ridley Scott, Harrison Ford Movie

In the futuristic year of 2019, Los Angeles has become a dark and depressing metropolis, filled with urban decay. Rick Deckard, an ex-cop, is a “Blade Runner”. Blade runners are people assigned to assassinate “replicants”. The replicants are androids that look like real human beings. When four replicants commit a bloody mutiny on the Off World colony, Deckard is called out of retirement to track down the androids. As he tracks the replicants, eliminating them one by one, he soon comes across another replicant, Rachel, who evokes human emotion, despite the fact that she’s a replicant herself. As Deckard closes in on the leader of the replicant group, his true hatred toward artificial intelligence makes him question his own identity in this future world, including what’s human and what’s not human. HustleTV

Ridley Scott was born in South Shields, Tyne and Wear (then County Durham) on 30 November 1937. His father was an officer in the Royal Engineers and the family followed him as his career posted him throughout the UK and Europe before they eventually returned to Teesside. HustleTV

DJ Khaled ‘I’m the One’

By | Featured, Music, News, Video | No Comments

DJ Khaled

“One,” released April 28, opens at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart with 53.9 million U.S. streams in the week ending May 4, according to Nielsen Music. It also arrives atop the Digital Song Sales chart with 171,000 downloads sold in the week ending May 4. On Radio Songs, “One” is the week’s top debut at No. 33 with 35 million in all-format airplay audience in the week ending May 7. HustleTV

Bieber earns his eighth Digital Song Sales No. 1 and third Streaming Songs No. 1, while Lil Wayne lands his third No. 1 on the sales list (and first on Streaming Songs). The other three acts on “One” rule each ranking for the first time.

Number ‘One’ debut: “One” is just the 28th title to debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100. It’s the first since Ed Sheeran‘s “Shape of You” on the Jan. 28, 2017-dated chart. (“One” is the 1,064th total No. 1 in the history of the Hot 100, which began on Aug. 4, 1958.)

Meanwhile, “One” is the first rap song to debut atop the Hot 100 since Eminem’s “Not Afraid,” seven years ago this week (May 22, 2010).

Plus, “One” is the second song to debut atop the Hot 100 with, appropriately, the word “one” in its title: On Dec. 2, 1995, another superstar team-up, Mariah Careyand Boyz II Men‘s “One Sweet Day,” launched at the summit. It went on to spend a record 16 weeks at No. 1. Speaking of Carey… HustleTV

Bieber’s second No. 1 bow: Bieber becomes just the third artist to have debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100 with multiple titles. He first opened on top with his first leader, “What Do You Mean?” (Sept. 19, 2015). Carey leads with three No. 1 entrances (“Fantasy,” “One Sweet Day,” both in 1995, and “Honey,” 1997), while Britney Spears, like Bieber now, has made two such starts (“3,” in 2009, and “Hold It Against Me,” 2011).

Bieber & Lil Wayne’s latest Hot 100 leaders: Bieber and Lil Wayne are the chart-topping veterans on “One,” tallying their fourth and third Hot 100 No. 1, respectively. In addition to “One” and “Mean,” Bieber ruled in 2016 with “Sorry” and “Love Yourself.” Lil Wayne led with “Lollipop,” featuring Static Major, in 2008, and as featured on Jay Sean’s “Down,” in 2009.

The rest of the “One” team easily earns new Hot 100 highs. Khaled logged one prior top 10: “I’m On One,” featuring Drake, Rick Ross and (oh, look) Lil Wayne, which reached No. 10 in 2011. HustleTV

Quavo also collects his second top 10 (apart from Migos). Drake’s “Portland,” featuring Quavo and Travis Scott, debuted and peaked at No. 9 in April.

Chance the Rapper achieves not only his first Hot 100 No. 1 or top 10, but even his first top 40 hit: he’d climbed to a prior No. 41 best with his first entry, 2013’s featured turn on “Confident” by… Bieber.

Bieber goes fourth: Notably, Bieber has now earned more top five Hot 100 hits after his 2015 album Purpose than he did from the set: following the LP’s No. 1s “Mean,” “Sorry” and “Love Yourself,” he’s added four top fives in featured roles, on Major Lazer‘s “Cold Water” (also featuring MO; No. 2); DJ Snake‘s “Let Me Love You” (No. 4); Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee‘s “Despacito” (up to No. 3 this week, see below); and now Khaled’s No. 1 “One.” HustleTV

New Face, Fresh Style: Pop Singer Maggie Lindemann Isn’t Just a ‘Pretty Girl’

By | Music, News, Video | No Comments

HustleTV Music News Though still in the early stages of her career, 18-year-old Maggie Lindemann knows what she wants.“I think that I’ve stayed pretty true to myself,” Lindemann tells Billboard of her swift success: Her 2015 debut single “Knocking on Your Heart” shot to the top 20 on the iTunes Alternative Chart within 24 hours of its release, and every single following has gained a similar viral success. She’s even hit No. 5 on Billboard’s Next Big Sound chart.

Growing up in Dallas, music was always a passion. Lindemann sang in church choirs and musicals at school but spent a lot of her teenage years expressing herself on social-media platforms like Tumblr and Instagram (which now has over 1.9 million followers.)  Not long after she was discovered by her now-manager Gerald Tennison — he found a video of her singing on Instagram — Lindemann moved to L.A. to pursue music at only 16 years old.

“When people call me a social-media star, I feel looked past for being a singer,” Lindemann says. “But I love being on social media because I’m able to connect with people and spread awareness.” As the subject of tumultuous Internet drama and bullying, the singer has survived her fair share of digital fame with a strong sense of self intact. HustleTV

Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s ‘Despacito’ Tops Latin Airplay Chart

By | Music, News, Video | No Comments

HustleTV Music News… Luis Fonsi’s latest single “Despacito,” featuring Daddy Yankee, lifts 2-1 on the Latin Airplay chart (dated March 11), scoring each act their seventh career chart-topper. The ascent marks Fonsi’s first Latin Airplay No. 1 since 2009, when “Aqui Estoy Yo” topped the tally. Daddy Yankee most recently crowned the list in 2016 when “Vaiven” spent a week at the top (Jan. 23).

The capping climb is due to a 13 percent increase at the format, to 18.2 million audience impressions in the week ending Feb. 26, according to Nielsen Music. Both act’s hometown station WKAQ, San Juan, Puerto Rico (a Univision Radio station), was a top contributor with 77 weekly spins of the song.

Univision Communications, Inc.’s vice president, managing director of radio strategy Ismar Santa Cruz tells Billboard, “Luis Fonsi took a heritage sound that he has been known for and successfully adapted it to the sounds that are impacting the market and our audience today.” Adding, “the inclusion of Daddy Yankee as a featured artist added an additional rhythmic element by a core star artist that complemented the track very well.”

Fonsi, who has dotted the chart with 30 songs since debuting in 1998, has traditionally been known known for his ballads. “Despacito” is his first foray into a more rhythmic, reggaeton sound aided by a pioneer in reggaeton’s shift into the mainstream, Daddy Yankee (the record holder for most chart hits on Billboard’s Latin Rhythm Songs chart, with 59).  HustleTV

Univision’s WXNY, New York also championed the track with 45 plays (and 1.2 million audience impressions). Of its nationwide draw, Santa Cruz comments “Univision listeners are really relating to the rhythm and lyrics— and we’re seeing that in various formats across multiple top markets including Puerto Rico, Miami, Houston, Chicago and Los Angeles, among others.”

Santa Cruz sums up the tracks appeal, “all in all, the track really hits on all levels, and we see it resonating to that degree with our audiences.”

Luis Fonsi’s Seven No. 1s on Latin Airplay
Title, peak date (weeks at No. 1)
“Imaginame Sin Ti,” Sept. 9, 2000 (two weeks)
“Abrazar La Vida,” May 22, 2004 (one week)
“Nada Es Para Siempre,” Aug. 27, 2005 (one week)
“Tu Amor,” Feb. 24, 2007 (one week)
“No Me Doy Por Vencido,” (19 weeks)
“Aqui Estoy Yo,” June 13, 2009 (one week)
“Despacito,” featuring Daddy Yankee, March 11 (one week, so far)

Elsewhere, “Despacito” concurrently spends a fourth straight week at No. 1 on the Hot Latin Songs chart thanks to increased digital sales and steady streams, in addition to the on-air rise.

For a third consecutive week it is the most streamed Spanish-language song in the U.S., supporting its stay atop Hot Latin Songs (despite a 3 percent dip to 7.6 million plays in the week ending Feb. 23). YouTube accounts for nearly half of the streams (49 percent), where the music video for the track has collected over 369 million global views since its Jan. 12 release. Digital sales also aid the ranking, hiking 11 percent, to 9,000 downloads sold. HustleTV

Video: E-40 ft. Ricco Barrino – “Somebody”

By | Music, News, Video | No Comments
HustleTV Music News.. “Whoever you are, and whatever your low-grade malaise, E-40 is here to banish it. The Bay Area rap forefather is a human exclamation point, a superhero whose power is remaining helplessly in love with his work. E-40 works harder and more joyfully at making great rap music than you or I have ever worked on anything” – Pitchfork

“The Bay Area’s ambassador E-40 is one of those rare veterans in hip-hop that gets better with time.” –Complex

The Video:
Rap legend E-40 still commands an uncanny level of attention and respect after being in the game for almost 30 years. A strong example of 40 Water’s ability to hold our attention is “Somebody,” the newest visual from Book 1 of his 2016 double-album The D-Boy Diaries Book 1 & 2 produced by ProHoeZak. “Somebody” finds E-40 screening clips of his historic career in a gorgeous theater, pensively observing his life story from a balcony seat. Ricco Barrino who is known for his feature on the Colonel Loud “California” alongside of T.I. and Young Dolph delivers soaring, emotive vocals throughout. Undeniably related to award winning artists Anthony Hamilton as well as Jodeci’s KC and JoJo, Barrino reflects on his inspiration and motivation behind “Somebody.” “When you pray for something, envision it happening, prepare yourself and then it happens, you know it’s GOD. It was always a dream of mine to work with the man E-40 so when he called and told me he knew I could do it he really gave me the extra confidence that sealed the deal. It’s nothing like waiting the longest to do a service with another solid individual to create greatness,” says Ricco Barrino.
On “Somebody,” E-40 reflects on the decisions he’s made throughout his life. The song is a homage to Freddie Jackson’s “Have You Ever Loved Somebody.” “The boy Rico Barrino came up with the hook. In this song, I’m somebody trying to be somebody, says 40, not so much as a rapper, but as an ordinary guy. I’m talking about – should I buy a food truck, should I get in the tech world and create an app? Where am I going in life in life with this shit? I’m playing the narrator. “Got a couple of kids to raise/So it’s a Catch-23/Should I get a job/Or go back to pushin’ the D?/Should I call my plug/And ask him to front me a key?/Should I get my recommendation/Papers for trees.”

Back in 2016, E-40 landed three new albums on the Billboard 200 simultaneously, including Book 1, Book 2, and the 44-track Deluxe Edition. All three also placed in the top 20 of Billboard’s Indie and R&B/Hip-Hop Charts and reached the top ten of the Rap ChartThe D-Boy Diary earned much of its success from streaming, with key playlist placements, including “Puttin’ In Work” on Spotify’s New Music Friday and “Savage” on the popular Rap Caviar, leading to over 2 million Spotify streams in one week. The album’s success followed a dizzying press tour, including appearances on ESPN’s Jalen and Jacoby and Shade45’s Sway in the Morningand a revealing Facebook Live session with MashableThe very same year, E-40 celebrated even more chart success as two singles, “Choices” and “Function,” received Gold certifications from the RIAA. With four decades in the rap game and a flourishing adult beverage empire, E-40 is the young rapper’s sensei, his glorious, ever-evolving career in the music business as the teachings. The D-Boy Diary Books 1 & 2 is currently available to stream and purchase on the DSP of your choice.

E-40 Background:
One of the most celebrated rappers of all time, E-40 has attained legendary status in hip-hop. Since making his debut with The Click almost 30 years ago and becoming one of the first West Coast rap artists to sign to a major label, his name has become synonymous with the independent music movement. E-40 has released 24 solo albums, become a platinum recording artist and collaborated with artists including Tupac, UGK, and Snoop Dogg. At age 48, E-40 is an anomaly in hip-hop, maintaining his relevance over a career that spans three decades. In the past few years alone, he’s been featured on several Billboard charts (“Choices,” Big Sean’s “IDFWU”, Ty Dolla $ign’s “Saved”), he’s earned an RIAA-certified Gold plaque (“Choices”) and starred and had his 2006 smash hit “Tell Me When to Go” featured in a Beats By Dre commercial. Says E-40, “What’s happening at this point in my career defies logic. Name another 48-year-old rapper with one Gold record, let alone three in the same year. My fans stretch much further than the Bay Area, further than just the West Coast. I brought so much shit to hip-hop. I’ve been relevant in each generation and each decade and I’ve done it as an independent artist.”

E-40’s success extends beyond the music industry, most notably through his entrepreneurship in the adult beverages industry. His wine business, Earl Stevens Selections, distributes high-quality wine to stores across the country and local liquor stores. He has made inroads into the pre-mixed cocktail business with Sluricane, a signature bottled-mix named after his 1995 hit “Hurricane,” with The Click, which was the top-selling beverage at BevMo when it was first released. In 2015, E-40 released an eponymous brand of 40-oz. malt liquor. E-40 is continuing his unprecedented longevity and success as an independent artist with his next album, scheduled for late 2016. HustleTV
