The Weeknd

“Is this the greatest party in L.A. today?” asked Abel Tesfaye, also called The Weeknd, to the group amid the first of two Los Angeles appears on his Starboy: Legend of the Fall visit Saturday night (April 29) at the sold out Discussion. It beyond any doubt appeared like it as the group answered with constant irresistible shouts starting when the pop star – who used to keep his face shrouded – now ascended from underneath the phase to smoke and glimmering lights, with a new hair style and all, as he certainly opened with his No. 1 hit “Starboy,” which he was that night without a doubt. HustleTV

Wearing his standard darker tones of a dark top and jeans with white boots and a dim coat, he drove what felt like an easy show blended with move moves as he strolled here and there a catwalk into the center of the group performing hits off his most recent collection, including “Party Beast,” “Update,” “Six Feet Under” and “Rockin'” with a three-piece band set up toward the finish of the stage. He brought out Rae Sremmurd, who did the mannequin test to “Dark Beatles,” and in addition Paunch and 6lack, however most outstanding was astounding the group of onlookers with L.A. local Kendrick Lamar, who rose to the center of the phase to play out his highlighted verse on “Walkways.” The Weeknd bowed to Lamar before giving him the phase to perform “Humble” off his DAMN. collection, which is presently spending its second week at No. 1 on the Announcement 200 collections diagram.

The Weeknd went through his verses from gathering top choices he was highlighted on, including Ty Dolla $ign’s “Or Nah,” Drake’s “Group Love,” Future’s “Low Life” and NAV’s “Some Path” and towards the center of his set backed things off with “Real nature” and “Blessed messenger” before getting into some of his more established material. HustleTV

In the wake of singing and moving to “I Can’t Feel My Face,” shouts were so uproarious and verbose to the point that The Weeknd halted and held his ears. He finished on the Ridiculous Punk-created hit “I Feel It Coming” before he expressed gratitude toward the group and the stage went dark, flagging the finish of the show.

In any case, exactly when you thought he finished his set, he returned in front of an audience for a reprise execution of “The Slopes,” which had the group at their feet singing every one of the verses to the melody. Kendrick Lamar Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200

By | Music, News | No Comments

Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar notches his third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart as DAMN. debuts atop the tally dated May 6. The set launches with the biggest week for an album in nearly a year: 603,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending April 20, according to Nielsen Music. DAMN. was released April 14 through Top Dawg/Aftermath/Interscope Records.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new May 6-dated chart will be posted in full to Billboard’s websites on Tuesday, March 21.  HustleTV

DAMN. sold 353,000 in traditional album sales (the largest sales week for an albumsince December and a career-high sales week for Lamar) and earned 227,000 in SEA units (the second-largest streaming week ever for an album) and 23,000 in TEA units.

DAMN. follows Lamar’s previous No. 1 sets: last year’s Untitled Unmastered. and 2015’s To Pimp a Butterfly. He joins Drake  and Future as the only acts to have achieved at least one No. 1 album in each 2015, 2016 and 2017. Drake had two No. 1s in 2015, including a collaborative set with Future (What a Time to Be Alive), as well as one No. 1 in both 2016 (Views) and 2017 (More Life). Future topped the list twice in 2015 (DS2 and What a Time to Be Alive), once in 2016 (Evol) and twice in 2017 (his self-titled album and HNDRXX).  HustleTV

At No. 2 on the new Billboard 200 chart, singer/songwriter John Mayer debuts with The Search for Everything. The album earned 132,000 equivalent album units (120,000 in traditional album sales). It was preceded by two introductory EPs that each featured four songs from the full 12-song album: The Search for Everything: Wave One (No. 2 on the Feb. 11-dated chart) and The Search for Everything: Wave Two(No. 13; March 18).

The new full-length Search album is the ninth top 10 effort for Mayer. If the set doesn’t go any higher on the list, it will mark his fourth No. 2-peaking set, following The Search for Everything: Wave One, Paradise Valley (2013) and Continuum (2006). (He’s notched thee Billboard 200 No. 1s.)  HustleTV

HustleTV Music News …. Kendrick Lamar is on course to earn his third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart next week with DAMN. Lamar previously led the Billboard 200 with his last two albums: last year’s Untitled Unmastered. (178,000 units in its first week, 142,000 of which were in album sales) and 2015’s To Pimp a Butterfly (363,000 units; 324,000 in album sales). HustleTV

Kendrick Lamar had quite the busy weekend. After dropping his latest studio album DAMN. and tearing up the Coachella stage as a headliner on Sunday night, the Compton rapper returns with a new video for “DNA.” starring esteemed actor Don Cheadle.

“Kendrick Lamar. Two first names, huh, the f— is up with that?,” asks Cheadle, who plays an interrogator. “You know what DNA stands for? Dead N—a Association.” HustleTV

As soon as Cheadle’s character tries to switch on the lie detector test, he immediately spazzes and channels Lamar spitting all the hard-hitting bars from the DAMN. cut. The two then engage in a back-and-forth rap fest before Cheadle un-cuffs him from the table. “Another dead n—a association,” says Lamar, who pats Cheadle and prompts him to pass out on the ground.

The rapper superstar’s Brooklyn gig is the latest through a budding relationship with American Express. The Compton native recently went one-on-one with retired NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal in an Amex commercial as part of its “Shop Small” campaign, and he performed in Miami earlier this month for AMEX’s Music Meets Art campaign during Art Basel.DJ Hustle

The upcoming show caps another remarkable year for Lamar, who secured the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 in March with his surprise project Untitled, Unmastered. Here’s Maroon 5’s “Don’t Wanna Know” Featuring Kendrick Lamar

By | Music, News | No Comments

HustleTV Music News….  Last month, Maroon 5 teased a very unexpected collaboration with none other than Kendrick Lamar at their show in San Antonio. Some were unsure as whether or not Kendrick would be a good fit for the song, but now, fans can finally hear “Don’t Wanna Know” and decide for themselves as the band officially shares the single.

Produced by Benny Blanco, the new single features a tropical vibe that would have fit in perfectly with the hits that took over the airwaves this summer. Kendrick jumps in nearly towards the end of the track for a very quick verse to balance out the lead vocals from Adam Levine. This, of course, isn’t Kendrick’s first time lending a hand to a pop act, having teamed up with Imagine Dragons for the massive hit “Radioactive” and also appearing on Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood.” HustleTV

Kendrick Lamar Performs During The 2016 Global Citizen Festival At Central Park

By | Featured, Music, News | No Comments

Kendrick Lamar

HustleTV Music News   A George Clinton quotable flashed across the screen before Lamar’s set that read, “Look both ways before you cross my mind.” Compton’s resident good kid became an instant Global Citizen Fest MVP with a catalog-spanning performance that catered to his “day ones” and united the crowd.

Beginning with “untitled 07” off his Billboard 200 chart-topper Untitled Unmastered, Lamar helped fans levitate off the Central Park grounds as he delivered high notes off his other No. 1 albums, 2015’s gripping set To Pimp a Butterfly and his 2012 major label debut, Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City, like “Backseat Freestyle,” “Swimming Pools (Drank),” “untitled 02,” “Don’t Kill My Vibe,” “Money Trees” and “i.” He also gave his Top Dawg Entertainment cohorts love by performing his verses off ScHoolboy Q hits “Collard Greens” and “tHat Part.” HustleTV

To note, Lamar shied away from cursing, omitting N-words and B-words where applicable and used the Jumbotron for striking images, including a clip of former president George W. Bush tripping before his performance of “m.A.A.d. City” and a montage of Black icons like Muhammad Ali, Don King, James Brown and black children during his performance of “King Kunta.”

However, after performing the grand finale “Alright,” Lamar’s exit music was the poignant line from “Wesley’s Theory” that echoed “Every n—a is a star.”  HustleTV
