DJ Khaled ‘I’m the One’

DJ Khaled

“One,” released April 28, opens at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart with 53.9 million U.S. streams in the week ending May 4, according to Nielsen Music. It also arrives atop the Digital Song Sales chart with 171,000 downloads sold in the week ending May 4. On Radio Songs, “One” is the week’s top debut at No. 33 with 35 million in all-format airplay audience in the week ending May 7. HustleTV

Bieber earns his eighth Digital Song Sales No. 1 and third Streaming Songs No. 1, while Lil Wayne lands his third No. 1 on the sales list (and first on Streaming Songs). The other three acts on “One” rule each ranking for the first time.

Number ‘One’ debut: “One” is just the 28th title to debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100. It’s the first since Ed Sheeran‘s “Shape of You” on the Jan. 28, 2017-dated chart. (“One” is the 1,064th total No. 1 in the history of the Hot 100, which began on Aug. 4, 1958.)

Meanwhile, “One” is the first rap song to debut atop the Hot 100 since Eminem’s “Not Afraid,” seven years ago this week (May 22, 2010).

Plus, “One” is the second song to debut atop the Hot 100 with, appropriately, the word “one” in its title: On Dec. 2, 1995, another superstar team-up, Mariah Careyand Boyz II Men‘s “One Sweet Day,” launched at the summit. It went on to spend a record 16 weeks at No. 1. Speaking of Carey… HustleTV

Bieber’s second No. 1 bow: Bieber becomes just the third artist to have debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100 with multiple titles. He first opened on top with his first leader, “What Do You Mean?” (Sept. 19, 2015). Carey leads with three No. 1 entrances (“Fantasy,” “One Sweet Day,” both in 1995, and “Honey,” 1997), while Britney Spears, like Bieber now, has made two such starts (“3,” in 2009, and “Hold It Against Me,” 2011).

Bieber & Lil Wayne’s latest Hot 100 leaders: Bieber and Lil Wayne are the chart-topping veterans on “One,” tallying their fourth and third Hot 100 No. 1, respectively. In addition to “One” and “Mean,” Bieber ruled in 2016 with “Sorry” and “Love Yourself.” Lil Wayne led with “Lollipop,” featuring Static Major, in 2008, and as featured on Jay Sean’s “Down,” in 2009.

The rest of the “One” team easily earns new Hot 100 highs. Khaled logged one prior top 10: “I’m On One,” featuring Drake, Rick Ross and (oh, look) Lil Wayne, which reached No. 10 in 2011. HustleTV

Quavo also collects his second top 10 (apart from Migos). Drake’s “Portland,” featuring Quavo and Travis Scott, debuted and peaked at No. 9 in April.

Chance the Rapper achieves not only his first Hot 100 No. 1 or top 10, but even his first top 40 hit: he’d climbed to a prior No. 41 best with his first entry, 2013’s featured turn on “Confident” by… Bieber.

Bieber goes fourth: Notably, Bieber has now earned more top five Hot 100 hits after his 2015 album Purpose than he did from the set: following the LP’s No. 1s “Mean,” “Sorry” and “Love Yourself,” he’s added four top fives in featured roles, on Major Lazer‘s “Cold Water” (also featuring MO; No. 2); DJ Snake‘s “Let Me Love You” (No. 4); Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee‘s “Despacito” (up to No. 3 this week, see below); and now Khaled’s No. 1 “One.” HustleTV

Lil Wayne Solidifies GOAT Status

Lil Wayne

While the future of Rolling Loud was an uncertain one just a few weeks ago, the first day of the the premier hip-hop festival proved to be a success. Rap fans and others alike descended upon glitzy downtown Miami for a day filled with hip-hop’s rising stars and cultural icons. Even the humid, hazy weather couldn’t deter fans from seeing their favorite artists, especially Friday night’s (May 5) headliners, Lil Wayne and A$AP Rocky. HustleTV

Taking to the stage around 10:20 p.m., Rocky opened his set with a literal bang as fire exploded into the air around him. “Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye” projecting through the speakers, the crowd erupted into an uproar as the Harlem wunderkind rapped the equivocal “Who’s the jiggy n—- with the gold links?”

Shortly after injecting the crowd with his lively energy, the A$AP frontman took to the mic to share a nugget of advice: “F— your cameras, f— social media. It’s all about here tonight.”

While the rapper’s message of self-awareness was overlooked, the crowd embraced the ambient vibes as Rocky switched gears going into his 2015 banger “L$D.” The stage fittingly displayed hues of red, purple and blue as fans became an element of the ultimate trip. HustleTV

A few yards away, fans anticipated the arrival of one of rap’s most prolific figures ― none other than Lil Wayne. Backed by a live acoustic band, Weezy took to the stage shortly after 11 p.m., donning a Gucci hoodie and his staple wayfarer shades. Kicking things off with the 2008 hit “Mr. Carter,” the crowd’s excitement was magnified as the signature drum line projected through the speakers overhead and neon lights illuminated the stage.

“Before I get started,” Wayne told the crowd as he took a moment to enjoy his herbal remedy, “I have to let you know that I haven’t got started.”

The Young Money crooner then went into an epic medley of all his hits to date. From “Got Money” and “John” to notable features like “Believe Me” and “HYFR,” Wayne took fans on a musical journey of his coveted discography.

Reaching the halfway mark of his performance, the Louisiana lyricist grew a bit nostalgic as he tapped into his roots as Cash Money’s youngest frontman. “This portion of the show is for the real Lil Wayne fans,” he told the crowd as the 2004 banger “Go DJ” played overhead. HustleTV

hustletv-tv tyga lil wayne birdman djhustle los angeles

By | Music, News | No Comments

HustleTV Music News….  Lil Wayne has fresh beef with Birdman for letting Tyga  — one of Wayne’s artists — out of his contract without even the slightest discussion.

Sources close to Wayne tell TMZ, the rapper is fuming after Tyga was cut loose, opening the door for him to sign a new deal with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music. Problem is … he was on Young Money, where Weezy’s a founding partner and 49% owner.

Even though Birdman owns a majority stake, we’re told Wayne feels his John Hancock was necessary to seal the deal, and had he been consulted … he would have vetoed it anyway. HustleTV

Kanye West’s ‘Fade’ Arrives on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart

By | News, Video | No Comments

HustleTV Music News…. Kanye West picks up his 97th charting hit on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart as “Fade” bows at No. 39 on the Sept. 24-dated list. The entrance is a result of the track’s music video being widely released on Sept. 6 to YouTube, following an exclusivity period on Tidal. Overall streams for the song rise to 4.9 million (up 130 percent) in the week ending Sept. 8, according to Nielsen Music.

Since 2003, when West placed his first hit on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs with “Through the Wire” (No. 8 peak), only two other artists have had more charting titles: Lil Wayne (141) and Drake (143).

Lil Wayne Releases New Song ‘Grateful

By | Music, News | No Comments

HustleTV Music News…. A new Lil Wayne song titled “Grateful” is now available on Tidal. The track, featuring Gudda Gudda and produced by StreetRunner and Rugah Ruh, arrives soon after the rapper hinted at retirement in a series of unclear tweets a week ago.

“NEW CHAPTER,” Wayne tweeted when he dropped “Grateful” Friday night (Sept. 9).

The lyrics of “Grateful” seemingly address Wayne’s beef with Birdman and Cash Money Records: “I been working hard for no prize / I’m still grateful though I show pride / And you don’t see Stunna right next to me / And I won’t see Stunna write checks to me / They can’t put no more Weezy Baby out / That’s that Cash Money vasectomy.”

Lil Wayne has been involved in an almost two-year battle with Cash Money, his record label, over the release of his 11th studio album Tha Carter V and a release from his contract. HustleTV

Party Next Door & Jeremih – Like Dat ft. Lil Wayne

By | Music | No Comments

HustleTV  It’s “Like Dat” for PARTYNEXTDOOR and Jeremih.

Shortly after announcing their collaborative album Late Night Party, the singing duo unleashed their new Lil Wayne-assisted single through OVOSOUND Radio on Saturday (Jul. 2).

The untitled track, dubbed “Like Dat,” for now features the trio of stars over production by Murda Beatz, who also recently cooked up the Gucci Mane and Drake collaboration “Back on Road.”

While PND and J harmonize, Weezy comes through with a verse that’s equal parts menacing and kinetic. “100 goons on the way,” he raps. “100 shots in your face / What you gon’ say? / Need to go into the safe.”

Some speculate “Like Dat” could be the lead single off Late Night Party, which was announced last month.

“A new album is coming out with me and PARTYNEXTDOOR called Late Night Party,” Jeremih said at the time. “Y’all fina get that real soon and right after that, you’re gonna get the trilogy to Late Night called Later That Night. I can’t wait ’till y’all hear that.”

PND also has his own solo work coming soon. He recently unveiled his “Come and See Me”music video co-starring Kylie Jenner and is reportedly crafting P3DJ Hustle
