T.I. Arrest: Guard Says he Felt ‘Threatened’ In 911 Call
A security said that he felt threatened with the rapper T.I. that prompted the Grammy-winning hip hop rapper capture outside his gated community Atlanta. In a 10-minute telephone call, the watch at Eagles Landing Country Club told a 911 dispatcher early Wednesday (May 16) that an inhabitant continued requesting his name and thumping on the monitor shack entryway. T.I. had lost his key and the guard at first wouldn’t give him access to the area, said Henry County Deputy Police Chief Mike Ireland. The rapper’s lawyer, Steve Sadow, issued an announcement that his customer had been “wrongfully captured.” Sadow said the monitor was snoozing when T.I. arrived and it took “some a long time to wake the resting security guard.”
“The guard continued to refuse entry without justification,” Sadow said in a statement, referring to T.I. as Tip. “Words were exchanged and apparently the guard and/or a supervisor called the police.
