Similar to previous Emmys, the winners are always anticipated. From the Netflix series The Queen’s Gambit bagging two awards to Mare of Easttown snagging three awards overall. Here is a complete rundown on who won which award in the 73rd Emmys Awards.

Best Limited Series

Netflix’s outstanding series The Queen’s Gambit managed to beat out all of the other nominees. Director Scott Frank’s program won against big nominees namely I May Destroy You, Mare of Easttown, The Underground Railroad, and WandaVision.

Best Drama Series

The Crown also brings Netflix another Emmys after winning the category. Producer Andrew Eaton beat out seven other drama series namely The Boys, Bridgerton, The Handmaid’s Tale, Lovecraft Country, The Mandalorian, Pose, and This Is Us.

Best Comedy Series

Going against Netflix, HBO Max, and ABC comedy series, Apple TV Plus’ Ted Lasso managed to get the win for the 73rd Emmys’ Best Comedy Series.

Best Variety Special (Pre-Recorded)

Hamilton rose as the winner for the category. Winning against Bo Burnham: Inside, David Byrne’s American Utopia, 8:46 – David Chappelle, A West Wing Special to Benefit When We All Vote, and the anticipated Friends: The Reunion.

Best Variety Special (Live)

Stephen Colbert’s Election Night 2020: Democracy’s Last Stand Building Back America Great Again Better 2020 takes home the win. Fellow nominees are Celebrating America – An Inauguration Night Special, The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, The Oscars, and The Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show Starring The Weeknd.

Best Variety Talk Series

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver beats Conan, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and The Last Show with Stephen Colbert. This is the series’ sixth consecutive year winning for the category.
