The New York Giants were missing a ton of their key players according to HustleTV. Thus, it was no surprise how the Los Angeles Rams took care of business and routed them, 38-11. Their star players Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp had big games on the way to big victories and the Giants’ defence did not have an answer. Kupp entered the game second in the league with 37 impressive catches and he continued his great play for the rams. There is no doubt he is on his way towards becoming such a great player if he already is not one.

At halftime, the Giants trailed 28-3 and coach Joe Judge was extremely disappointed by their defence or lack thereof. Therefore, he challenged them to play more of that in the second half. The Los Angeles Rams dealt with some questionable calls made by the officials. They were able to go through them all. When the New York Giants went down 25 points, their fans immediately realize there won’t be any miraculous comebacks since they were missing many of their star players. You have to give it to them for coming out and giving it their all though. Unfortunately, the injuries piled up for both teams during the game. For the Rams, Johnny Mundt and Jake Allen left the game really early. For the Giants, Kadarius Toney suffered an ankle injury and did not return.

The Los Angeles Rams were not particularly happy with their start as they fell behind 3-0 in the opening quarter. It did not take too long for them to regain their groove as they scored 38 straight points. The win marked their fifth consecutive one and it was an impressive one being in a hostile road environment. With the win, the Rams ran their win-loss record to a remarkable 5-1 for the season.

However, with the loss, the New Giants dropped to the complete opposite which is 1-5. It remains to be seen whether the Giants can make a run when their injured players return in the near future. Stafford’s wonderful pass to Kupp in the fourth pretty much sealed the victory on this day. It was actually a celebration of sorts for the Giants as they celebrated their 10th year anniversary of that huge Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots who had Tom Brad at that time. Their coach at that time, Tom Coughlin actually spoke to the fans at the end of the game or at least what was left of them. Due to the game being way out of hand, most of them left the arena in order to avoid traffic and you can’t really blame them for doing so. Up next for the Rams is Stafford’s old team the Lions as they continue their road trip. On the other hand, the Giants are staying home to take on Carolina. Both games are going to be happening next Sunday and you can bet the whole world is going to be watching.

Written by Andrew Goldberg

After a disappointing year of football in 2019, both the Rams and Chargers were hoping to put the past in the rearview mirror as their seasons kicked off this past Sunday. When the dust settled at the end of the night, both teams were able to collect a victory, earning a 1-0 record in what is sure to be an extremely competitive football season.

While many Angelinos many have been reeling at the Clippers second half collapse Sunday afternoon, head coach Anthony Lynn made sure the Chargers were ready to play in their road matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. All eyes were focused on Cincinnati’s number one draft pick Joe Burrow making his first start, but it was the Chargers veteran Tyrod Taylor that would win the day as he marched the Chargers down the field for 10 crucial points in the fourth quarter.

Bolstering Taylor’s solid performance were running backs Austin Ekeler and Joshua Kelly, who’s combined 144 rushing yards helped beat back an aggressive Bengals defense. Also making a major impact were pro bowl defensive lineman Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram, who kept Burrow under pressure all day and finished with a sack and an interception, respectively.

Still, the game was nearly snatched out of the Chargers grasp in the final moments. Left with one last chance, Burrow quickly moved the Bengals down the field and into field goal range with only seconds remaining. On his final attempt of the game, Burrow appeared to connect with wide receiver AJ Green for the game-winning touchdown, only for the score to be taken off the board due to a pass interference penalty.

Down by three, the Bengals sent out kicker Randy Bullock to try and send the game to overtime with a field goal. Despite the short distance, Bullock missed the kick wide right, and appeared to have injured his leg on the attempt. The miss left the Bengals stunned, and the Chargers victorious for the first time in 2020.

A couple hours later, the Rams would begin their quest to earn win number one against a talented Dallas Cowboys squad. It would be an important game for LA, who fell short of expectations last season after reaching the Super Bowl in 2018. The matchup also marked the first ever game played in the beautiful new SoFi Stadium, which will host the Rams and Chargers for years to come. Built at the exorbitant price of $5 billion, the stadium is set to hold Super Bowls and even the Olympics in the coming decade, though it will not be open to fans this season.

As for the on-field action, it was back to business for head coach Sean McVay and company. The former coach of the year had quarterback Jared Goff clicking the entire night, with the Rams taking the ball into the red zone five total times. Goff also benefited from a strong running game. Malcolm Brown, who was tasked with replacing former all-pro running back Todd Gurley, led the charge with 79 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns for LA.

This game also came down to the final moments. Down 20-17, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott completed a long pass downfield to wide receiver Michael Gallup to set the Cowboys up in field goal range with under a minute remaining. Like in the Chargers game, however, a flag was down on the field, and the play was called back due to pass interference. The call was controversial, with the referee’s decision being scrutinized by many fans and the media after the game.

Though not without their flaws, both Los Angeles team’s can feel confident in their ability after a solid debut. Now the test will be to sustain that level of play. The Rams will fly east and face off against the Philadelphia Eagles next Sunday, while the Chargers battle the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in their home opener.

Jason Wright NFLs first Black President https://hustletv.tv/jason-wright-nfls-first-black-president/ Wed, 19 Aug 2020 14:25:49 +0000 https://hustletv.tv/?p=13337 Jason Wright NFLs first Black President

Written By Zaina Cummins

On August 17th at seven o’clock am sharp, the Washington Football Organization posted on their Twitter account; a warm welcome to their very first black NFL President, Jason Wright.

HustleTV Jason Wright: NFLs first Black President DJ Hustle.jpg

The post stated; “We are happy to announce that we have appointed Jason Wright as Team President.”

Jason Wright is a 38-year-old former NFL running back for the San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns and Arizona Cardinals. After the retirement of his career, the Northwestern Wildcat went along to earn his MBA from the University of Chicago.

“If I could custom design a leader for this important time in our history, it would be Jason,” said Washington team owner Daniel Synder. “His experience as a former player, coupled with his business acumen, gives him a perspective that is unrivaled in the league.”

Last month the Washington football franchise announced the retirement of the Redskins team name. This decision came about after the killing of George Floyd; an unarmed Black man. This tragedy set off a national response, resulting in coast to coast protests and a resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement. Three months later, the football team from Washington has renovated themselves by removing its racially insensitive name and hiring a Black president for the first time ever to lead their team.

“The transformation of the Washington Football Team is happening across all aspects of the organization — from football to operations to branding to culture — and will make us a truly modern and aspirational franchise,” Wright said proudly during an interview amid his appointment.

Wright is putting on for the black community, black men, black children and most of all putting on for his city; Los Angeles, California. This is not just a regular election, this is history. After 10 decades of the NFL’s existence, 2020 was the year a black man made history.

To add on to his list of historical moments, 38-year-old Wright is the youngest president in NFL history, and only the fourth former player to assume the role.

Despite his historic hire, Jason Wright is in motion to make more history happen for himself, his people and the Washington Football Team. HustleTV Sports News

The XFL appeared to be heading towards another season of futility. After an exciting season that captured the national spotlight and surpassed many expectations, the “extreme” football league was forced to close its doors alongside the rest of the sporting world when Covid-19 upended American life, putting its future in jeopardy. On Monday, however, an exciting new group of investors threw the league a lifeline.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, business partner Dany Garcia and others from Investment Firm Redbird Capital announced in a news release that they would be purchasing the XFL for roughly $15 million. The influx of cash is much needed for the XFL, which was forced to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy back in April. Now with new ownership at the helm, the league has its sights set on resuming play as early as 2021.

“We’re planning for it,” said Garcia, who hinted that the league may attempt to adopt the same ‘bubble’ strategy as the NBA. “It’s been really interesting to see that, when you create a bubble, your players are safe. When you don’t, it’s chaos.”

Garcia and Johnson will have their hands full attempting to pick up the pieces of a league that has now twice gone under. In both previous iterations, first in 2001 and more recently in 2019, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was at the helm, committing over $200 million into the building the league’s foundation. With much of McMahon’s vision firmly in place, Johnson says it is now up to him to carry on the XFL legacy.

“With pride and gratitude for all that I’ve built with my own two hands, I plan to apply these callouses to the XFL and look forward to creating something special for the players, fans and everyone involved for the love of football.”

Johnson has long had roots in organized sports, playing football for the University of Miami in the early 1990’s before moving onto to wrestle in McMahon’s WWE. He even addressed the crowd with a rousing pregame speech before the XFL’s inaugural game back in 2001. But now in a position of real power, it’ll be up to “The Rock” to cook up a winning formula for a league on thin ice. For us at HustleTV we love sports.

The resurgent Los Angeles Rams season that nobody saw coming is suddenly over, a little earlier than many would’ve expected. On Saturday night, in their first playoff diversion at Los Angeles Coliseum Arena in almost 40 years, the Rams kept running into a fight tried Atlanta Falcons choked out Todd Gurley, ruled the season of ownership and exploited two or three early exceptional groups turnovers. Before a season-best horde of 74,300, the Rams endured a 26-13 misfortune in the special case round, their elevating season under first-year head mentor Sean McVay vanishing in a matter of a hour. DJ Hustle

The Rams explored through the 2017 season with one of the diversion’s best uncommon teams units, yet that division tormented them. The Falcons’ second punt hit off the foot of Blake Countess, ricocheted off the arms of Pharoh Cooper and slipped out of the grip of Kevin Peterson, immediately putting the Falcons in field-objective range. They arrived again on a kickoff, when Cooper – went to the Pro Bowl as an arrival man – bungled at the 32-yard line late in the main quarter.

Gurley, who may very well win the MVP, got just four of 10 targets and totaled 111 scrimmage yards, the speed of the Falcons’ resistance and the smoothness of the Coliseum’s turf keeping him under wraps beside a little modest bunch of long runs.

Behind Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and the dynamic one-two punch of Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman, the Falcons held the ball for almost 38 minutes, utilizing a 3-yard touchdown keep running by Freeman and four Matt Bryant field objectives – two of them from past 50 yards – to assemble a 19-10 lead heading into the final quarter. HustleTV

Gurley at last woke up at that point, grabbing 47 yards on consecutive runs. In any case, the Rams made due with a field objective, and the Falcons addressed again against a Rams barrier that lost protective end Michael Brockers. On second-and-13 from the Falcons’ 38, Mohamed Sanu gotten a screen leave and picked behind 53 yards. On second-and-objective from the 8, Jones arranged in the opening, streaked to the opposite side of the field, ran a blur to the arch and got a splendidly executed over-the-top toss from Ryan, expanding the Falcons’ prompt 13.

Los Angeles Rams Resting Their Starters Sunday Against San Francisco https://hustletv.tv/los-angeles-rams-resting-their-starters-sunday-against-san-francisco/ Wed, 27 Dec 2017 16:36:24 +0000 https://hustletv.tv/?p=11887 Los Angeles Rams Resting Their Starters Sunday Against San Francisco

First-year head coach Sean McVay indicated Tuesday that the Rams, who clinched a division title last week, prefer to keep key players fresh as opposed to fighting for positioning in the NFC playoffs. The Rams (11-4) don’t have a chance at a first-round bye and will either be the third or fourth seed.

“Each and every games is imperative,” McVay told the media from the group office in Thousand Oaks, California. “In any case, I figure it will give a chance to us to possibly get some folks more beneficial, rest them, allow some different folks to advance up. How that influences the folks that are sound that we need to be brilliant with will be resolved as the week advances. Be that as it may, it is one of those arrangements where I figure you may see us rest some folks.”

The Rams would more than likely rest veteran left handle Andrew Whitworth and John Sullivan for Sunday’s home diversion against the 49ers. In the event that that is the situation, quarterback Jared Goff and running back Todd Gurley II most likely would not play either. Sean Mannion is Goff’s reinforcement and Malcolm Brown would remain to get most of the conveys in Gurley’s nonattendance. HustleTV

McVay likewise said inside linebackers Mark Barron and Alec Ogletree as contender to not play. Other key veterans -, for example, collectors Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods, guarded linemen Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers, outside linebackers Robert Quinn and Connor Barwin, cornerback Trumaine Johnson, security Lamarcus Joyner and hostile lineman Rodger Saffold – could likewise at any rate observe a constrained workload.

“You absolutely never underestimate anything, yet realizing that you do have a home playoff game paying little respect to how things play out, this may give a chance to us to get some folks solid,” McVay said. “That is an extravagance that we need to attempt to exploit.” DJ Hustle
