The New York Giants were missing a ton of their key players according to HustleTV. Thus, it was no surprise how the Los Angeles Rams took care of business and routed them, 38-11. Their star players Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp had big games on the way to big victories and the Giants’ defence did not have an answer. Kupp entered the game second in the league with 37 impressive catches and he continued his great play for the rams. There is no doubt he is on his way towards becoming such a great player if he already is not one.
At halftime, the Giants trailed 28-3 and coach Joe Judge was extremely disappointed by their defence or lack thereof. Therefore, he challenged them to play more of that in the second half. The Los Angeles Rams dealt with some questionable calls made by the officials. They were able to go through them all. When the New York Giants went down 25 points, their fans immediately realize there won’t be any miraculous comebacks since they were missing many of their star players. You have to give it to them for coming out and giving it their all though. Unfortunately, the injuries piled up for both teams during the game. For the Rams, Johnny Mundt and Jake Allen left the game really early. For the Giants, Kadarius Toney suffered an ankle injury and did not return.

The Los Angeles Rams were not particularly happy with their start as they fell behind 3-0 in the opening quarter. It did not take too long for them to regain their groove as they scored 38 straight points. The win marked their fifth consecutive one and it was an impressive one being in a hostile road environment. With the win, the Rams ran their win-loss record to a remarkable 5-1 for the season.
However, with the loss, the New Giants dropped to the complete opposite which is 1-5. It remains to be seen whether the Giants can make a run when their injured players return in the near future. Stafford’s wonderful pass to Kupp in the fourth pretty much sealed the victory on this day. It was actually a celebration of sorts for the Giants as they celebrated their 10th year anniversary of that huge Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots who had Tom Brad at that time. Their coach at that time, Tom Coughlin actually spoke to the fans at the end of the game or at least what was left of them. Due to the game being way out of hand, most of them left the arena in order to avoid traffic and you can’t really blame them for doing so. Up next for the Rams is Stafford’s old team the Lions as they continue their road trip. On the other hand, the Giants are staying home to take on Carolina. Both games are going to be happening next Sunday and you can bet the whole world is going to be watching.

After a disappointing year of football in 2019, both the Rams and Chargers were hoping to put the past in the rearview mirror as their seasons kicked off this past Sunday. When the dust settled at the end of the night, both teams were able to collect a victory, earning a 1-0 record in what is sure to be an extremely competitive football season.

While many Angelinos many have been reeling at the Clippers second half collapse Sunday afternoon, head coach Anthony Lynn made sure the Chargers were ready to play in their road matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. All eyes were focused on Cincinnati’s number one draft pick Joe Burrow making his first start, but it was the Chargers veteran Tyrod Taylor that would win the day as he marched the Chargers down the field for 10 crucial points in the fourth quarter.
Bolstering Taylor’s solid performance were running backs Austin Ekeler and Joshua Kelly, who’s combined 144 rushing yards helped beat back an aggressive Bengals defense. Also making a major impact were pro bowl defensive lineman Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram, who kept Burrow under pressure all day and finished with a sack and an interception, respectively.
Still, the game was nearly snatched out of the Chargers grasp in the final moments. Left with one last chance, Burrow quickly moved the Bengals down the field and into field goal range with only seconds remaining. On his final attempt of the game, Burrow appeared to connect with wide receiver AJ Green for the game-winning touchdown, only for the score to be taken off the board due to a pass interference penalty.

Down by three, the Bengals sent out kicker Randy Bullock to try and send the game to overtime with a field goal. Despite the short distance, Bullock missed the kick wide right, and appeared to have injured his leg on the attempt. The miss left the Bengals stunned, and the Chargers victorious for the first time in 2020.
A couple hours later, the Rams would begin their quest to earn win number one against a talented Dallas Cowboys squad. It would be an important game for LA, who fell short of expectations last season after reaching the Super Bowl in 2018. The matchup also marked the first ever game played in the beautiful new SoFi Stadium, which will host the Rams and Chargers for years to come. Built at the exorbitant price of $5 billion, the stadium is set to hold Super Bowls and even the Olympics in the coming decade, though it will not be open to fans this season.
As for the on-field action, it was back to business for head coach Sean McVay and company. The former coach of the year had quarterback Jared Goff clicking the entire night, with the Rams taking the ball into the red zone five total times. Goff also benefited from a strong running game. Malcolm Brown, who was tasked with replacing former all-pro running back Todd Gurley, led the charge with 79 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns for LA.

This game also came down to the final moments. Down 20-17, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott completed a long pass downfield to wide receiver Michael Gallup to set the Cowboys up in field goal range with under a minute remaining. Like in the Chargers game, however, a flag was down on the field, and the play was called back due to pass interference. The call was controversial, with the referee’s decision being scrutinized by many fans and the media after the game.
Though not without their flaws, both Los Angeles team’s can feel confident in their ability after a solid debut. Now the test will be to sustain that level of play. The Rams will fly east and face off against the Philadelphia Eagles next Sunday, while the Chargers battle the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in their home opener.

On Saturday, September 5th, NFL teams were given until 4:00pm EST to trim their roster to 53 players. Every year, over a thousand players would end up jobless on a day like this, dubbing it as the infamous “Cutdown Day.” Most cuts would be pretty cut and dry, with the majority being “practice squad bodies” or UDFAs (undrafted free agents) who were seen as long shots to make the roster. Every year, however, some teams go with the surprise decision, either due to chemistry issues, salary cap situations, or too much talent at one position, to shock the Football world and cut players with verified NFL talent. Here, we take a look at some of 2020’s biggest surprise decisions, and why they took place.

Miami Dolphins cut former 10th overall pick Josh Rosen
In a surprise decision, it seems the Dolphins have fully given up on Josh Rosen, only a year after trading for him with a 2nd round pick. Rosen went winless in his three starts for the Dolphins last season with a 52 passer rating, putting him among the league’s worst. The Dolphins seem ready to go with this year’s fifth overall pick in Tua Tagovailoa as the long-term starter with veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick serving as the bridge/backup quarterback. It seems that even with Tagovailoa’s questionable durability and Fitzpatrick’s shaky play, head coach Brian Flores felt it best to use a roster spot elsewhere.
Patriots release Mohamed Sanu Sr.
After spending a second round pick to receive half a season of Mohamed Sanu, head coach Bill Belichick has said no more and cut the veteran receiver. After bringing him in to boost a heavily injured wideout group, Belichick decided to pull the plug on his second season after claiming the pairing “just didn’t work out.” Following the departure of longtime quarterback Tom Brady, Belichick apparently feels content with a receiving group headlined by Julian Edelman and N’Keal Harry, but with only the so-far questionable Gunner Olszewski, Jakobi Meyers, and Damiere Byrd there to back up.

Side Note: The Patriots release both kickers in the veteran Nick Folk and rookie Justin Rohrwasser. Belichick could want to start over at the position, or he could be waiting for a roster spot to open up for Nick Folk, who does not need to clear waivers.
Steelers release Ryan Switzer
After being openly praised by franchise quarterback Ben Rothlingsberger, fan-favorite Ryan Switzer has been released. The receiver/returner Switzer spent time with Rothlingsberger on the injured list last season, allowing Dionte Johnson to assume return duties, while recently signed receiver Ray Ray McCloud seems to have taken Switzer’s spot on the depth chart.
Cowboys release veteran safety HaHa Clinton-Dix
After signing the veteran cornerback Daryl Worley, the Cowboys apparently decided that he would provide enough secondary depth that Clinton-Dix would not be necessary. Clinton-Dix has shown he can be serviceable in the NFL and should have no trouble finding another team, but the Cowboys decided that the 1.5 million dollars of cap space his release frees up would be of better use, especially in a financially difficult COVID-19 season.

Packers cut fan favorite wideout Jake Kumerow
Just days after Aaron Rodgers included Kumerow’s name in a wide receiving group he was excited to play with, Kumerow found himself jobless by the Packers. The Packers, with what was looking like a logjam at the receiver position, had one too many, and might have risked upsetting franchise QB Rodgers to have more depth elsewhere.

]]>Jared Goff jumped up into the pocket Sunday and conveyed an exact ignore the center for a 35-yard gain on third-and-15.
It was actually the kind of play mentors and evaluators around the NFL need to see the Los Angeles Rams’ third-year starter make as a soul changing experience into the upper levels of the quarterback world.

Goff, whose two touchdown passes helped the Rams hold off the Seattle Seahawks, will become the dominant focal point with the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes on Monday Night Football in Week 11. The matchup will include the two quarterbacks rising the quickest since my 2018 QB Tiers review was distributed over the mid year.
Ten general supervisors, five head mentors, 10 facilitators, 10 senior faculty officials, five QB mentors and 10 different mentors/executives involved the 50-man board. I re-surveyed five voters as of late to see which quarterbacks were rising, falling or basically the most intriguing in their eyes. Results and bits of knowledge pursue, above all, a snappy update on every level. HustleTV
Goff turned into a jazzed child when told in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum locker room following the Rams’ 36-31 triumph over the Seattle Seahawks that Berry tweeted about his pre-snap shoutout.
“Pause, hang tight, are you genuine?” Goff said. “She heard it!”
Goff immediately looked for Berry’s tweet, at that point became progressively energized as he demonstrated it to colleagues and mentors.
“It’s so interesting,” Goff said. “The thing is, when [McVay] called it, I resembled, ‘It’s so peaceful at the present time, this will get on TV.'”
Goff would not uncover the points of interest of the play but rather said to check with McVay, who was in charge of naming it. McVay would not uncover why the play was named after Berry, given that the reason is likely fixing to the plan of the play.
In any case, the mentor said that if Berry was asking, to tell the Oscar-winning on-screen character that it positively was implied as a compliment.
“She’s an exceptionally appealing lady that players know,” McVay said. “Also, it’s identified with the play.”
The play brought about a 8-yard go from Goff to tight end
]]>The Jets and Bills are having out and out quarterback rivalries that incorporate best 10 picks. The Cowboys are endeavoring to discover a trade for Dez Bryant, while the Seahawks are experimenting with potential Earl Thomas fill-ins.
NFL Nation columnists pick the most imperative preparing camp position fight for each group.
The fundamental wellspring of interest around the Bills is the point at which No. 7 in general pick Josh Allen will split the beginning lineup. He is a piece of a three-path rivalry in preparing camp with AJ McCarron and Nathan Peterman in which McCarron and Peterman have part first-and second-group reps and Allen has every so often observed time with the best unit. The preseason will decide if Allen is prepared to make the bounce from Wyoming to beginning Week 1 as a new kid on the block, or if mentor Sean McDermott will incline toward a more secure wager in McCarron or perhaps Peterman. – Mike Rodak HustleTV
There is little discussion that Jarvis Landry was Ryan Tannehill’s most loved focus in past seasons, however how does the position shake out with Landry gone to Cleveland? Previous first-round pick DeVante Parker battled right off the bat in preparing camp, as per The Miami Herald, and mentor Adam Gase said the group was hunting down a part for nothing operator expansion Albert Wilson. Include kindred free-operator pickup Danny Amendola, and additionally Kenny Stills, and there is little clearness about will’s identity the best beneficiaries in Miami. – Mike Rodak DJ Hustle
Who will ensure Tom Brady’s catch off-guard? Fourth-year veteran Trent Brown – who is difficult to miss at 6-foot-9, 380 pounds – has been agreeing with the primary unit through the main stretch of preparing camp. Youngster first-round pick Isaiah Wynn has been the best reinforcement. From 2001 to ’17, the Patriots had uncommon soundness at the situation between Matt Light and Nate Solder. Presently they’re on the move. – Mike Reiss

“You know, I am extremely humbled to win this diversion and to be a piece of this team. That is what it’s dependably been about,” Foles said. “I know there was many individuals against us this last week. Simply noting questions, and simply catching wind of it. In any case, the greatest thing about this is sports, that is a part of it. The greatest thing in our locker room is we trust in each other. Everybody accepts, and that was appeared in plain view this evening. The city of Philadelphia clearly accepts in light of the fact that they were here and noisy. So we are thankful for that. Truly, it’s unimaginable to win this diversion and we are not done yet.”
