What’s Your Hot Sauce of Choice.

They say music makes the world go round.  Well, so does hot sauce.  Nearly every culture and sub-culture uses some form of heat to season food.  The chili peppers and other spices has added the extra flare to dishes for thousands of years.

What we want to know is what is your hot sauce of choice?

The availability of hot sauce is a necessity for some cultures.  Its a must-have on the dining table.  Now there are a few dishes that require a certain type of hot sauce.  For example, Pho with Sriracha, Bi Bim Bap with Gochujang Korean Chili Sauce, Wasabi with Sushi, and Frank’s Red Hot with buffalo wings.  But what is the hot sauce that you use on a daily basis.  The hot sauce you grab to add you own extra flare to everything on your plate?

According to thrills.com, the 10 Best Hot Sauces on Earth included Tabasco Original.  The Tabasco Original has been around since 1868 based out of Avery Island, Louisiana. Tabasco now comes in a variety of flavors but the original is like adding hot vinegar to your dish.  Tapatio ranked #7 from Vernon, California.  Tapatio is readily available in Mexican restaurants and is favored by the West Coast people.  It has a slightly sweeter tang.  The Louisiana Hot Sauce Original is up next.  Founded in 1928 in New Iberia, Louisiana was claimed to be one of “the very fist commercially available Cajun food products”.  Its made from sun-ripened cayenne peppers.  #1 on the list is Huy Fong Sriracha.  Founded in 1980 in Los Angeles, California, the factory was declared a nuisance.  The smell from the Irwindale factory got media coverage in 2014.  Made from red jalepeno and mixed with vinegar, salt and preservatives.  So you wonder why there’s a rooster on the packaging?  According to Forbes, the company’s logo represents the founder, David Tran’s Chinese zodiac sign. DJ Hustle
