Yordenis Ugas Defeats Manny Pacquiao

According to HustleTV, Yordenis Ugas soundingly defeated Manny Pacquiao in a boxing match held at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Manny was supposed to meet Errol Spence but it was found out that the latter got injured. As a result, Ugas was brought in as a last-minute replacement. Ugas just captured the WBA title and he plans to unite it with the Welterweight title. After a victory against one of boxing’s all-time greats, he is a young boxer whom many believe to be the next big thing. He represented Cuba in the 2008 Olympics and there is no reason to believe he could do it again in the future. Despite Manny punching more, Yordenis ended up landing more punches. Manny did not have any excuses as to why he lost afterward. He just apologized to his country people and that he gave it his all in this fight. If this was his last fight, he will be remembered as one of the people who went from becoming poor to one of the richest men in the country. He certainly earned every bit of what he was achieving right now and he can’t wait to show it all off. He captured lots of titles over his career. 

Ugas connected on many of his punches against the Philippine Senator. As usual, Pacquiao is considering retirement after another devastating loss. He is set financially anyway so the only thing allowing him to go back to being a boxer is his love for the sport. It is believed that Pacquiao would shift his focus to running for the president of his country in the upcoming May elections. Due to his popularity, he is expected to be one of the favorites if ever he does decide to run. He said he will make an announcement next month with regards to his political plans. Manny looked every bit like his 42-year-old self and he was not young by any means. He was far from the boxer who changed the face of the sport. As a matter of fact, he has been deemed the heavy favorite here just like he was in each of his fights except the match against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Needless to say, Ugas shocked the world and it is doubtful there is going to be a rematch in the near future. Manny knows Father Time is catching up with him and it is possible he could be training his kids to become boxing sensations once they grow up. Until then, Manny looks to be really focused on bringing down the corrupt government officials in his country. He even got into many arguments with the President when he stated that he thinks the pandemic funds are just going to their pocket. Obviously, the only way to handle that would be to run for the office yourself and see if you can take it to the next level with the top position of the country. Of course, it is a lot easier said than done.
